And said to the elders of Midian, Now they will lick up all that are round us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field
Their king sent messengers to Balaam by the river saying, A people has come out of of Egypt that cover the face of the earth and are here opposite me

For I know that whom you bless is blessed, and whom you curse is cursed

John 16:24
Balaam said to the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more
Please stay here tonight, that I may know what more the LORD will say to me
God came to Balaam at night and said to him, If the men come to call, rise up and go with them

(Of all that we hear, what could be more important that what our Maker, the Maker of the universe says?)
And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his donkey, and went with the princes of Moab
And God's anger was kindled because he went
And the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him
The donkey saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way with His sword drawn in His hand: and the donkey turned off the road into a field: and Balaam struck the donkey to turn her back to the path
But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side
And when the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself into the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he struck her again
And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right or to the left
And when the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he struck the ass with a staff
And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said to Balaam, What have I done to you, that you struck me these three times?
And Balaam said to the her, Because you mocked me: I wish there were a sword in my hand, for I kill you.
The donkey said to Balaam, Am not I your donkey, you have ridden all your life? Did I ever do anything like this before? He said, No
Then the LORD opened Balaam's eyes and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way with His sword drawn in His hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face
The angel of the LORD said, Why have you struck your donkey these three times? I have come as an enemy against you, because your way is against Me
The donkey saw Me, and turned from Me these three times.Unless she had turned from Me, surely I would have killed you, and kept her alive
Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I didn't know You stood in the way against me: now if it is evil to You, I will return
The angel of the LORD said to Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I speak to you, that you will speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak

Balak the king of Moab brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel for me
How can I curse, whom God has not cursed? or how can I defy, whom the LORD has not defied?
For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and not be reckoned among the nations
Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the upright, and let my last end be like his!

...
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God
And the dead in Christ will rise first
Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air
And so shall we ever be with the Lord
1 Thessalonians 4:1617
...
God brought them out of Egypt; Israel has the loftiness of a unicorn
There is no enchantment against Jacob. The people will rise up as a great lion

He came to the Ancient of days, and was brought near before Him.

To Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 1:5, 6
And Israel began to whore with the daughters of Moab
And went to sacrifices of their gods and ate and bowed down to their gods
The anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel and He told Moses to take the leaders and hang them up before the Lord opposite the sun so the fierce anger of the Lord would turn away
(Worshipping false gods is so wrong because it leads all people, not just to physical death, but to eternal death, screaming in the lake of fire)
Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw one man take a heathen woman into his tent. He took a javelin in his hand and thrust both of them through. So the plague was stopped from the children of Israel
(24,000 died in the plague God had sent)
The LORD said to Moses, Phinehas turned away wrath being zealous for My sake among them, that I not consume all the children of Israel in My jealousy

Trouble the Midianites, and strike them, for they trouble you with their wiles, with which they have beguiled you

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil
For we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in the heavenlies
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand
Stand therefore, having your loins wrapped around with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace
Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
Praying always with all prayer and need in the Spirit, and for all saints

The land will be divided by lot according to the names of the families of their fathers
(each of the 12 sons of Israel had a portion and then divided that between the families according to each able bodied man who could protect the family)
According to the lot the possession will be divided between many and few
Numbers 26:1-56
(For total fairness for all, and the lot was determined by God to avoid squabbles)

And Moses brought their cause before the LORD who said, They are right
Give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brothers and cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them

Having the glory of God: and her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal
And the foundations of the wall of the city were all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

God that made the world and all things in it, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed any thing, seeing He gives to all life, and breath, and all things
And has made of one blood all nations of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the boundaries of their nations
That they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He is not far from every one of us
For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring
So since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like gold, or silver, or stone, carved by art and man's thinking
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to turn back to Him
Because He has appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom He has appointed
And He has given assurance of this to all men, in that He raised Him from the dead
