The Lord fights for you
The LORD told Moses, Count the number of men of Israel by families, 20 years and older, that are able to go to war

But the Levites will camp round the tabernacle of testimony

(We need shielding from His wrath because He is infinite holiness and we are not)

He made us His own
The Lord told Moses, give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given to him
Set Aaron and his sons to serve as priests and the foreigner that comes near will be put to death
(this is protective because of God's infinite power and holiness)
I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn
the Levites will be Mine
(They don't serve as warriors in battles but they help Aaron and his sons in their service is at the Lord's house, His sanctuary)
Because all the firstborn are Mine
For on the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I set apart for Myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and animal are Mine
I am the LORD
Numbers 3:9-14
(When you can make a universe, then you can make the rules)
(When Jesus cried at the cross, it is finished, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom showing that the way into God's holy Presence was now open freely to all without fear of death
(The whole universe was infinitely cleansed from sin and evil by the precious blood of the holy Son of God)
Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the firstborn from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth
HIM that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
And made us kings and priests to God and His Father
To him be glory and dominion forever and ever

He goes ahead of us, guides us, and fights for us
When the camp sets forward, Aaron will come, and his sons, and they will take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it
(It will move forward first)
The Lord your God goes before you

He perfected us forever
When a man or woman commits any sin or trespass against the LORD, and that person is guilty
Then they are to confess their sin that they have done and repay in full, and add a fifth of the value and give it to the one he trespassed against
But if the man has no relative to repay, let it be repaid to the LORD, even to the priest, plus the ram of the atonement (covering), by which atonement will be made for him

(Notice that sins against others are sins against the Lord since all people are made in by Him in His image)

because the consecration of his God is on his head
All the days of his separation he is holy unto the LORD

This man (Jesus), after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God
From then on waiting until His enemies are made His footstool.

What Jesus did is so amazing and spectacular that anyone can call on God and enter His infinitely holy Presence anytime anyplace
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need

The LORD bless you, and keep/guard you
The LORD make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you

This is how the priests will put my name/person on the children of Israel; and I will bless them

His covenant with us
When Moses went into the sanctuary he heard the voice of one speaking to him from off the mercy seat that was on the ark of covenant, from between the two cherubim

His covenant with all is:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but has everlasting life
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved
He that believes on him is not condemned: but he does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

When you light the lamps, the seven lamps will give light from the lampstand

Divine transfer
Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them
Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken to you

And the Levites will lay their hands on the heads of the bull and offer it for a sin offering to make an atonement for the Levites
This is how you separate them from among the children of Israel and the Levites will be Mine

(They put their hands on the head of the bull to be sacrificed as a symbol of the transfer of all our sins and guilt onto the sacrifice and the transfer of all He is into us)

Gathered to Him
Make two trumpets of silver for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps

(Instead of messenger or telephone, God had the children of Israel use trumpet for signals)

If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, those who sleep in Jesus
God will bring with Him
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will not precede those who are asleep
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God
And the dead in Christ will rise first
Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds
To meet the Lord in the air
And so will we ever be with the Lord

Perfect in One

He will purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he will be clean: but if he does not purify himself the third day, then the seventh day he will not be clean.
Whosoever touches a dead body and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of the LORD
And that soul will be cut off from Israel

Water springing up to everlasting life
The children of Israel came into the desert and there was no water for the congregation to drink
They gathered themselves together against Moses and Aaron, saying, Did you bring the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness to die? There is no planting here, or figs, or vines, or pomegranates; and there is no water to drink
So Moses and Aaron left the congregation, went to the door of the tabernacle, and they fell on their faces
And the glory of the LORD appeared to them
The LORD said to Moses, Take the rod that is before Me, and gather the people and speak to this rock before their eyes and it will give waters
You will bring them water out of the rock, so they and their animals can drink
And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, and gathered the people in front of the rock and said, Hear now, you rebels, must we fetch you water out of this rock?
And Moses lifted up his hand, and struck the rock twice with the rod (instead of just speaking to the rock): and the water came out abundantly, and all drank

He that comes to Me will never hunger; and he that believes on Me will never thirst.

But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never thirst
But the water that I give him will be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

This is the water of Meribah (strive); because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and He was sanctified in them

Come to our Water of Life
Moses sent messengers to Edom (Esau, Jacob's brothers descendants) to seek passage through their land
He said, Remember how our fathers went down ito Egypt. We have dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians were hard on us, and our fathers
And when we cried to the LORD, He heard our voice, and sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt
Now we are at your border: please let us pass through your country: we will stay on the king's highway, and not go into your fields or vineyards
If our animals drink your water, we will pay for it
Edom said, No! Don't do it. I will come out against you with the sword. They came out with a big army
so Israel turned away from him

And Balaam said to the her, Because you mocked me: I wish there were a sword in my hand, for I kill you.
The donkey said to Balaam, Am not I your donkey, you have ridden all your life? Did I ever do anything like this before? He said, No
Then the LORD opened Balaam's eyes and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way with His sword drawn in His hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face
The angel of the LORD said, Why have you struck your donkey these three times? I have come as an enemy against you, because your way is against Me
The donkey saw Me, and turned from Me these three times.Unless she had turned from Me, surely I would have killed you, and kept her alive
Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I didn't know You stood in the way against me: now if it is evil to You, I will return
The angel of the LORD said to Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I speak to you, that you will speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak

The anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel and He told Moses to take the leaders and hang them up before the Lord opposite the sun so the fierce anger of the Lord would turn away
(Worshipping false gods is so wrong because it leads all people, not just to physical death, but to eternal death, screaming in the lake of fire)
Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw one man take a heathen woman into his tent. He took a javelin in his hand and thrust both of them through. So the plague was stopped from the children of Israel
(24,000 died in the plague God had sent)
The LORD said to Moses, Phinehas turned away wrath being zealous for My sake among them, that I not consume all the children of Israel in My jealousy
(Where there is no love, there is no jealousy)
(The most beautiful being, who made the universe and made us, is the One who loves us with all His heart)

Behold, I give to him my covenant of peace
And he and his descendants will have the covenant of an everlasting priesthood

God decides our inheritance
The LORD said to Moses, (when they had counted and recorded all the men above 20 years old who could go to war)
Unto these, the land will be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names
To many, give more inheritance (land), and to few give less inheritance: to every one his inheritance will be given according to those that were numbered
The land will be divided by lot according to the names of the families of their fathers
(each of the 12 sons of Israel had a portion and then divided that between the families according to each able bodied man who could protect the family)
According to the lot the possession will be divided between many and few
