Deuteronomy

Every eye will see HIM

At the entrance to the promised land Moses recalled to the minds of the children of Israel all the Lord's good dealings with them since their deliverance from Egypt:

The LORD your God has multiplied you as the stars of heaven
The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as you are, and bless you, as He has promised you!

When they became so numerous, he said, Take wise, understanding men from among your families and I will make them rulers over you
Deuteronomy 1

And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul
Isaiah 58:11
I charged your judges, Hear both small and great, and judge rightly

Don't be afraid of anyone for the judgment is God's

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth
Genesis 1:26

Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.

To him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
And has made us kings and priests to God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever
Revelation 1:5, 6

I said, Dread none of the people you are about to conquer for

The LORD your God goes before you

He will fight for you, according to all that He did for you in Egypt before your eyes
And in the wilderness you have seen how the LORD your God carried you as a man carries his son, everywhere you went
Who went before you, to search out a place to camp, in a pillar of fire by night, to show you the way and in a cloud by day

Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye will see Him
Revelation 1:7

Seek Him and lack nothing

He knows your walking through this great wilderness
Deuteronomy 2

(He knows how hard our lives can become at times)

these years the LORD your God has been with you

you lacked nothing
Deuteronomy 2: 7

The young lions lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD will not lack any good thing
Psalm 34:10

Complete deliverance and every desire

The LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we struck him until none was remaining left to him

(none of our troubles will remain)

Will you not bring about my complete deliverance and every desire ordered and secure in every detail?
2 Samuel 23:5

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart
Psalm 37:4

Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings: so shall the LORD do to all the kingdoms where you pass

Cross over with your brothers, armed for war, until the LORD have given rest to your brothers, as well as to you, and until they also possess the land the LORD your God has given them
Deuteronomy 3:3, 21

Blessed be the Lord, that has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised

Not one word has failed of all His good promise, which He promised
1 Kings 8:56

(God has over 3,000 promises in His Word for His children

O Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your mighty hand

for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to your works, and according to your might?
Deuteronomy 3:24

I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:
Isaiah 45:5

Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy loaded, and I will give you rest

Take my yoke on you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you will find rest to your souls

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light
Matthew 11:28-30

No Other

But you who clung to the LORD your God are alive every one of you

I have taught you statutes and judgments as the LORD my God commanded me

Guard them and do them
For what nation is there so great, who has God so near them, as the LORD our God is in all things?
Deuteronomy 4:4-7

Let not your heart be troubled
you believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you

I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you

to Myself

that where I am

there you may be also
John 14:1-3

And the LORD spoke to you out of the midst of the fire: you heard the voice of the words, but saw no shape

So make no likenesses of birds or animals to bow down to
verse 12

And when you see the sun, the moon, the stars, even all the host of heaven,

Don't worship them which the LORD your God has divided to all nations under the whole heaven

Take care to avoid all that the Lord your God has forbidden
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God
Deuteronomy 4:24

I love you with an everlasting love
Jeremiah 31:3

If you seek the LORD your God, you will find Him

For the LORD your God is a merciful God

He will not forsake you, or destroy you or forget the covenant

The LORD He is God; there is none beside him

Know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD He is God in heaven above, and on the earth beneath: there is no other
verse 39

So keep His ways that it may go well with you, and your children after you

and that you may prolong your days on the earth, which the LORD you God gives you, for ever
verse 40

He that overcomes will inherit all things and I will be his God and he will be My son
Revelation 21:7

Behold I stand at the door and knock

If anyone opens to Me, I will come in and feast with him and he with Me

He that overcomes will sit with Me on My throne
Revelation 3:20, 21

His tender mercies are over all His works

The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,

have no other gods except me
(He is our Maker and the Maker of all things)

Make no carved images, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:

Do not bow down thyself to them, or serve them

for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

And showing mercy to thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

Do not use the Lord's name for empty purposes

'Do not murder, steal.... commit adultery...covet...
Deuteronomy 5

(we may be able to do some of God's holy, just requirements some of the time but God is infinitely perfect all the time

(And from His great love Jesus did it for us without one wrong thought or slip up all day and night for the 33 years of His life ...for us)

Behold, the LORD our God has showed us His glory and His greatness

and we have heard His voice out of the midst of the fire

we have seen this day that God does talk with man, and he lives
Deuteronomy 5

I will extol You, my God, O king; and I will bless Your name forever and ever

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised

His greatness is unsearchable

I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wondrous works

The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works
Psalm 145

He brings you in

When the LORD your God has brought you into the land He swore to give you: great and good cities you did not build,
houses full of all good things, you did not fill, and wells you didn't dig, vineyards and olive trees you didn't plant
and you have eaten and are full
Beware to not forget the LORD your God (the Source of our life and blessings)
Deuteronomy 6: 10-12

And He took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave to them saying, This is My body which is given for you: do this in remembrance of Me
Luke 22:19

This cup is the new covenant in My blood
Do this in remembrance of Me
(He loves us with all that He is-His whole being and life poured out to buy us for Himself)
1 Corinthians 11:25

Do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land the LORD swore to your fathers,
To cast out all your enemies from before you, as the LORD has spoken
Deuteronomy 6:18, 19

For the battle is the Lord's, and He will give your enemies into your hands
1 Samuel 17:47

The Lord will fight for you, and you will hold your peace
Exodus 14:14

Thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ
2 Corinthians 2:14

When your son asks you in time to come, saying, What do these testimonies, and statutes, and the judgments mean that the LORD our God commanded?

Tell your son, We were Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand
The LORD showed great and terrifying signs and wonders on them before our eyes:
He brought us out to give us the land He swore to our fathers.
And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is this day
Deuteronomy 6:20-24

I give to them eternal life

They will never perish

Neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.
John 10:28

Holy to God

Make no compromise with evil in the land, make no marriages with them

For they will turn you and your children away from following Me (who is life)

Cut down their groves where they worship idols and burn all the images with fire

For you are a holy people to the LORD your God: the LORD your God has chosen you to be a special people to Himself, above all people that are on the face of the earth

Not because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all people:

But because the LORD loved you, and because He would keep the oath that He swore to your fathers

The LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of slaves, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt

Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who guards covenant and mercy with those that love Him and keep His commandments to a 1,000 generations

And repays those that hate Him to their face, to destroy them

Keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command
And He will love you, and bless you, and multiply you: He will bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your grain, and your wine, and your livestock
You will be blessed above all people
And the LORD will take away from you all sickness
but will lay them on all them that hate you

Fear no one, but remember well what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh, and to all Egypt;

The great tests and signs and wonders and the mighty hand by which the Lord your God brought you out. That's what He will do to all those you fear

For the LORD your God is among you, a mighty and awesome God

Little by little He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you will destroy their name from under heaven

No man will be able to stand before you

The carved images of their gods burn with fire. Do not desire the silver or gold on them or take it to you for it is an abomination to the Lord your God

Do not bring it into your house for it is cursed
Deuteronomy 7

The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but He blesses the dwelling of the just
Proverbs 3:33

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us
Galatians 3:13

(Because of His death in our place on the cross, every curse has been satisfied and we have the right to justly claim every blessing-He intends this for us, bought it for us with every last drop of His infinitely precious blood)

Kept by His power now and always

He humbled you, and allowed to hunger, and fed you with manna (angels food), to show you that mankind does not live by bread only, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD
Your clothing did not get old or your foot swell these 40 years
Consider in your heart, that as a man corrects his son, so the LORD your God corrects you

So always guard the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to fear Him

For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills
A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates

a land of oil olive, and honey
A land where you will eat without scarceness and not lack anything

a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper
When you have eaten and are full, you will bless the LORD your God for the good land He has given you
Beware, do not forget the LORD your God by not guarding His ways

who brought you out of slavery in Egypt
Who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, with fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water

who brought you water out of the rock of flint
Who fed you in the wilderness with manna, to humble you and do you good in the end
Don't say in your heart, My power and my hand got me this wealth
But remember the LORD your God: for it is He that gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish his covenant He swore to your fathers
If you forget the Lord, you will perish because you would not hear the voice of the LORD your God
Deuteronomy 8

We are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation
1 Peter 1:5

Now to him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

to the only wise God our Savior be glory and honor, dominion and power both now and for ever. Amen
Jude 1:24, 25

He offered up Himself for us

Hear Israel: You will pass over Jordan today to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than you, great cities fenced up to heaven,

disposessing a people great and tall,
The LORD your God goes before You as a consuming fire

He will destroy them quickly

Not for your righteousness, or the uprightness of your heart, but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD your God drives them out before you

You promised you'd follow the Lord, but first thing after He gave you His perfect rules to live by, you made a golden calf and said, This is our God.

I prayed to the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, Do not destroy Your people, Your inheritance You redeemed through your greatness, that you brought out of slavery in Egypt with a mighty hand.

The Lord heard me and forgave you that time
Numbers 9

(The Maker of the universe, the
Eternal King of Kings, Lord of Lords intercedes for us)

But this man (Jesus), because He continues ever, has an unchangeable priesthood.
So He is able also to save to the uttermost that come to God by him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for us
For such a High Priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and higher than the heavens;
Who does not need daily to offer sacrifices as those high priests, for this He did once, when he offered up Himself.
Hebrews 7:24, 25

Great and awesome

The LORD said to me, Cut two tables of stone like the first

And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables that you broke

He wrote on the tables the ten commandments, that the LORD spoke to you in the mount out of the midst of the fire
Deuteronomy 10:4

But this will be the covenant that I will make after those days, says the Lord

I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Jeremiah 31:3

What does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, and to love him

(All that we love came from Him)

Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD your Gods, the earth also, with all that is in it
Only the LORD had a delight in your fathers to love them
Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and do not be stiff necked
For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, mighty and awesome, who regards no persons and takes no bribes

He is your praise, and He is your God, that has done for you these great and awesome things, that your eyes have seen
Deuteronomy 10:14-17

Days of Heaven on earth

Love the LORD your God and keep His ways because you saw His greatness:

He made the water of the Red sea overflow them as they chased after you, and destroyed them to this day
And what He did to Dathan and Abiram, how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them

Keep His ways that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land flowing with milk and honey
It is a land of hills and valleys, and drinks water of the rain of heaven:
A land the LORD your God cares for

The eyes of the LORD your God are always on it from the beginning of the year to the end

If you turn from Him you will perish quickly from off the good land the LORD gives you, so:
Guard all His ways and teach them to your children, speaking of them often in everything you do

That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children in the land the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven on the earth

The LORD your God will lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the countries around you, if you:

Guard my words in your heart and in your soul
Deuteronomy 11

For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh
Proverbs 4:22

The words that I speak you, they are Spirit, and they are life
John 6:63

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away
Matthew 24:35

Sit with Him on His throne

The place the LORD your God will choose to dwell, seek Him there and bring your thank offerings

And eat there before the Lord your God

And rejoice in all that you do, you and your households in which the Lord your God has blessed you

Don't do like today - every man doing what is right in his own eyes
When you go over Jordan, and dwell in the land the LORD your God gives you to inherit, and when He gives you rest from all your enemies around you so that you dwell safely

[For I, says the Lord, will be to her a wall of fire round about, and the glory in the midst of her
Zechariah 2:5]

be sure not to eat the blood: for the blood is the life; and you may not eat the life with the flesh
You are to pour it on the earth like water,
that it may go well with you and with your children after you, when you do what is right in the sight of the LORD

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you on the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul
Leviticus 17:11

Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood is to be shed: for in the image of God He made man
Genesis 9:6

You were not redeemed with corruptible things like silver and gold from your vain way of life. But with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot
1 Peter 1:18, 19
When the LORD your God cuts off the nations from before you and you dwell in their land

Do not ask about their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods?
Do not do that insult to the LORD your God: for every abomination to the LORD that He hates, have they done to their gods

even burnt their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods
Whatever I command you, observe to do it: Do not add to it, or take away from it
Deuteronomy 12

To him that overcomes I will grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I overcame, and sat down with my Father in His throne
Revelaton 3:21

He that overcomes will inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he will be My son
Revelation 21:7

Put away evil

If a leader, or prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and gives a sign or a wonder that comes true and says, Let us go after other gods, do not listen to them,

for the LORD your God testing you, to show if you love the LORD your God

Only follow Him and listen to His voice and cling to him
Put to death that false one because he has spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God (who is life), who brought you out of slavery and gives you this great and beautiful land

He is your life, and the length of your days
Deuteronomy 20:30

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me
John 14:6

Put the evil away from you

Do what is right in the eyes of the LORD your God

The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good
Proverbs 15:3

Unspeakable gift

You are a holy people to the LORD your God

The LORD has chosen you to be a special people to Himself, above all the nations that are on the earth
Deuteronomy 14

(The Lord God had special rules about everything in life, like don't cut yourself or make marks on your body and

Don't eat animals or birds or fish that are scavengers

All the rules were for good, but too hard to keep all of them all the time

After 4,000 years of history God sent His Son with all the power of the Father Himself

to live that perfect life for each person and give it to each one who believes in Him as a gift, so we'll be fit to live in His infinitely perfect Presence of power, love, and joy forever)

Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift
2 Corinthians 9:15

Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.
You believe in God, believe also in Me

Daniel 4:34

You will reign

At the end of every seven years make a release (forget the debt)
Every creditor that lends anything to his neighbor will release it

and not require it of his neighbor or of his brother; because it is called the LORD'S release
(Of a foreigner you may require it)

You have forgiven the iniquity of your people, You have covered all their sin Psalm 85:2

But there is forgiveness with You, that You mayest be revered
Psalm 130:4

Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered
Romans 4:7

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Ephesians 1:7

And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you
Ephesians 4:32

The LORD will greatly bless you in the land the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance to possess
Carefully listen to the voice of the LORD your God

For the LORD your God blesses you, as He promised

and you will lend to many nations but not borrow

You will reign over many nations but they will not reign over you

Be generous with poor
because for this the LORD your God will bless you in all your works, and in all you put your hand to
Deuteronomy 15

For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things to whom be glory forever and ever
Romans 11:36

Where does He place His name?

At the place the LORD your God will choose to place His name, there you are to sacrifice the passover at evening, at the going down of the sun
Deuteronomy 16:6

(The night before Jesus was crucified He changed this ritual and gave the new way that passover would be celebrated. The bread and the cup of the communion service which all the Old Testament sacrifices displayed)

(His body broken for us-His precious blood shed for us)

Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you

Do this in remembrance of me
1 Corinthians 11:24

This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you
Luke 22:20

Purge out the old leaven, that you may be new

For Christ our passover is sacrificed for us
1 Corinthians 5;7

And they will see His face; and His name will be in their foreheads
Revelation 22:4

On the seventh day will be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God: do no work that day
Deuteronomy 16:8

Lord, You will ordain peace for us: for You also have worked all our works in us
Isaiah 26:12

Judges and officers you will appoint and they will judge the people with just judgment

The Lord loves righteousness and justice

The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord
Psalm 33:5

For the Lord loves justice, and does not forsake His saints

They are preserved forever: but the seed of the wicked will be cut off
Psalm 37:28

King of Kings

Do not sacrifice to the LORD any bull, or sheep that has a blemish for that is an abomination to the LORD
Deuteronomy 17:1

For you were not redeemed with silver or gold from your empty life

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot
1 Peter 1;18, 19

If any among you go and serve other gods, and worship them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, stone them with stones, until they die

(they lead all to eternal death - this stops evil from spreading so all can live in the unspeakable blessings of the Lord)
Deuteronomy 17:2-7

I am the Lord, and there is no other, there is no God beside me

(the only Source of life and blessing and happiness)
Isaiah 45:5

A man that does presumptuously, and will not listen to the priest that stands to minister before the LORD, or to the judge, that man is to die

Then the people will hear and fear and always listen
Deuteronomy 17:12, 13

If you set a king over you, choose one the LORD will choose among your brothers, not a foreigner who is not your brother

He is not to multiply horses to himself, or wives, or silver and gold, or cause the people to return to Egypt, where the Lord has said, do not return there
Deuteronomy 17:16-20

For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government will be upon His shoulder

And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace

Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end

.... a kingdom ordered and established with judgment and with justice from now on, forever
Daniel 9: 7, 8

Evil will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them

for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings
Revelation 17:14

You are chosen

The priests, the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, will inherit no land with Israel

The LORD is their inheritance
Deuteronomy 18:1, 2

He that overcomes will inherit all things and I will be his Father and he will be My son
Revelation 21:7
For the LORD has chosen him out of all families, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons forever

(Jesus to His believers) I have chosen you out of the world
John 15:19

You are worthy for You were killed and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every people and nation
And have us made kings and priests to our God

And we will reign on the earth
Revelation 5:10

Beloved of the Lord, God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth
2 Thessalonians 2:13

You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a special people

To show the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light
1 Peter 2:9

Do not listen to astrologers or witches or wizards or those who consult the dead
For all these things are an abomination to the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out of the land before you
Deuteronomy 18:10-13

But the Lord is the true God, He is the living God, and an everlasting king

At His wrath the earth will tremble, and the nations will not be able to abide his indignation
Jeremiah 10:10

Our faithful refuge

Make three cities of refuge for anyone who kills his neighbor accidentally, whom he did not hate in the past

He was not worthy of death, since he didn't hate him in the past
Deuteronomy 19:4, 6

God is our refuge and strength
A very present help in trouble

Therefore we will not fear though the earth be moved and mountains carried into the heart of the sea
Psalm 46:1

In the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed
Psalm 57:1

You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble
Psalm 59:6

Trust in Him at all times, O people, pour out your heart before Him
For God is a refuge for us
Psalm 62:8

(If one kills on purpose, he won't be allowed to stay in the city of refuge, but killed)

That innocent blood not be shed in your land that the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance
Deuteronomy 19:10

Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth
Matthew 5:5

Listen, my beloved, Has not God chosen the poor of this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom He has promised to those that love Him?
James 2:5

If a witness testifies falsely, do to him, as he planned to do to another. That's how you put the evil away from among you

For others will hear about it and fear, and no more commit such evil among you
Deuteronomy 19:19, 20

Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the firstborn of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth

Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to God

To Him be glory and majesty dominion and power now and forever
Revelation 1, 5, 6

Peace with God

When you go to battle against your enemies, and see horses, and chariots, and a people more than you, do not be afraid of them

For the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt

(who divided the Red Sea and drowned the enemies in it after leading Israel through on dry ground)

(The God with all the power that created the universe fights for His people

None can defeat Him)
Deuteronomy 20:1

The Lord does not save with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give victory into our hands
1 Samuel 17:47

Don't be afraid, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord
Exodus 14:13

(Any man who was building a new house or engaged to be married or afraid, was free to go home )
Deuteronomy 20:5-8

When you come near a city (far away) to fight against it, first offer peace to it
Deuteronomy 20:10, 11

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace where we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God

(Of the cities of the promised land), save alive nothing that breathes but utterly destroy them

Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end

...to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on even forever

The Lord of hosts (the hosts are the countless armies of angels in heaven) will do this
Isaiah 9:6, 7

He is rich in steadfast love

(Before Christ fulfilled the Old Covenant for us, when a person was found killed and they couldn't find out who did it, there was a detailed ceremony done and the leader said,

Be merciful, O LORD, to your people You have redeemed, and lay not innocent blood to Your people's account. And the blood will be forgiven them

This is how you put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when you do what is right in the sight of the LORD
Deuteronomy 8, 9

“I am Jehovah, the merciful and gracious God,” He said, “slow to anger and rich in steadfast love and truth
Exodus 34:5, 6

(When captives were taken in warfare, and a man desired a captive, they weren't used for lust. There had to be a commitment and full responsibility taken for her care)

And if you have no delight in her, then let her go where she wants, but you can't sell her for money, do not make merchandise of her because you have humbled her
Deuteronomy 21:14

The LORD your God in the midst of you is mighty; He will save

He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in His love

He will joy over you with singing

Promised

If you see a brother's animal or any property, return it to them. If it is far away, care for it until you can find the best way for it to be returned
Deuteronomy 22:1

Therefore all things whatever you would that men do to you, do this to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of God

saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation

you will not be ashamed or confounded world without end

Sanctified through the body of Jesus once for all

He that is wounded in the stones, or has his private part cut off cannot enter into the congregation of the LORD

(Other reasons that excluded persons from joining to Israel are listed including:
An Ammonite or Moabite may not enter because they didn't meet you with food and water when you came out of Egypt

but hired Balaam to curse you

But the LORD would not listen to Balaam, but turned the curse into a blessing for you because the LORD loves you
Deuteronomy 23:1-5

We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all

For by one offering He has perfected forever those that are sanctified

And their sins and iniquities I will remember no more
Hebrews 10:10, 14, 17

Perfectly whole

When a man marries, and his wife finds no favor in his eyes, because he had found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorce, and put it in her hand, and send her out of his house

In the plague of leprosy, observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites teach you

Just and right is He

All that cheat on prices, do unrighteously, and are an abomination to the LORD your God

Remember what Amalek did to you when you were coming out of Egypt;
How they struck down all the feeble stragglers when you were weary and faint, and they did not fear God
So when the LORD your God has given you rest from all your enemies in the land the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance, blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; do not forget it.

Eternal royalty

When you come into the land that the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance

I give them a land flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands

Then set it before the LORD your God, and worship
Deuteronomy 26:1-10

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a special people

to show the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light
1 Peter 2:9

Look down from Your holy dwelling place, from heaven, and bless Your people

The LORD has said to you, you are His special people, as He has promised you
to make you high above all nations He has made, in praise, and in name, and in honor

that you be a holy people to the LORD your God, as He has spoken

To him that overcomes I will grant to sit with Me in My throne

Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am

Inherit all

When you have crossed over Jordan, set up stones in mount Ebal and plaster them with plaster

And build there an altar to the LORD your God,
and write on the stones all the words of this law very plainly

Cursed is the one who:

Makes an image to worship
Is disrespectful of their father or mother
Moves their neighbors boundary marker
Leads a blind person off the path
Treats a foreigner, or orphan, or widow unfairly
Mates with his father's wife or an animal or sister or mother or mother in law
Secretly strikes a neighbor
Takes money to kill an innocent person

The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but He blesses the dwelling of the just
Proverbs 3:33

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us
Galatians 3:13

And there will be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there
Revelation 22:3

Blessed, world without end

If you listen to the LORD your God He will set you high above all nations of the earth
All blessings will come on you, and overtake you

You will be blessed in the field, in your work, in your family, in all you do, in all your possessions, all your goings and comings

In battle your enemies will run from you

All people on earth will see you are the Lord's
and fear you

You will lend to many nations but not borrow

The Lord will make you the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath

But if you will not listen, you will be cursed in every way, with trouble on every side

despised and ruled over

full of diseases and pains and sores

running from your enemies

If engaged, and another will marry her

Your sons and daughters will be given to other people and your eyes will long for the sight of them

You will plant vineyards and worms will eat them

So revere this awesome and wonderful person of the Lord your God

And be blessed always
Deuteronomy 28

For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things to whom be glory and honor forever and ever
Romans 11:36

Now to Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
To him be glory by Christ Jesus throughout all ages
world without end
Ephesians 3:20, 21

Prosper in all you do

Moses said, God showed you great signs and miracles in Egypt

Now I have led you 40 years in the wilderness and your clothes and shoes did not wear out
You ate manna (angels food rained from heaven), you didn't drink wine or strong drinks: that you might know that He is the LORD your God

When enemies attacked, you struck them and took their land

So guard the words of this covenant that you may keep the land
and prosper in all you do

So He may establish you today for a people to Himself, and that He may be your God

You saw their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold

If you go and serve the gods of these nations you start a root that bears gall and wormwood

If any walk in the imagination of his own heart, to add drunkenness to thirst, the LORD will not spare him

but the anger of the LORD and His jealousy will smoke against that man

And the curses written in this book will lie upon him, and the LORD will blot out his name from under heaven

If the whole nation sins, the plagues and the sicknesses will be on it

And that the whole land will be brimstone, and salt, and burning

It will not be sown, or anything grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah that LORD overthrew in His wrath
All nations will ask, Why has LORD done this to His land?

Men will answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers that He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt:
They went and served other gods, and worshipped them
The secret things belong to the LORD our God

but those things that are revealed belong to us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law
Deuteronomy 29

Blessed is the man that doesn't walk in the counsel of the ungodly, or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of the scornful (but believes what God says)
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law he meditates day and night
He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in his season

His leaf will not wither; and whatever he does will prosper
But the ungodly are like the chaff that the wind drives away
They will not stand in the judgment, or sinners in the congregation of the righteous
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly will perish
Psalm 1

I give to them eternal life
They will never perish
neither will any pluck them out of My hand
John 10:28

I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly
John 10:10

That they all may be one; as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us
John 17:21

It is His joy to do you good

When all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse, and you bring them back to your heart among all the nations where the LORD your God has driven you
And you return to the LORD your God and hear His voice according to all that I command you and your children
The LORD will turn your captivity, and have compassion (womb deep love) on you, and gather you from all the nations, where the LORD your God has scattered you
Even from the farthest parts of heaven, He will take (take a wife) you
He will do you good, and multiply you more than your fathers
And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your children, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and all your soul, that you may live
And the LORD will put all these curses on your enemies that hate you and persecuted you

He will rejoice over you for good, as He rejoiced over your fathers

His word is very near you, in your mouth, and in your heart, to do it
I have set before you today life and good, and death and evil - choose life
But if your heart turns away and will not hear

I tell to you this day, that you will surely perish

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing

choose life, that both you and your children may live
Deuteronomy 30

To know Him is life eternal
John 17:3
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, the things God has prepared for those that love him
1 Corinthians 2:9

(You are invited by the Most beautiful One, the Maker of heaven and earth

to walk with Him on streets of gold in a place where nothing bad can ever happen)

For God so loved that world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but has everlasting life
John 3:16

He is with you

Moses said, I'm 120 years old today and won't cross this Jordan River with you

The LORD will go over before you and destroy these nations and you will dispossess them

and Joshua will go with you
The LORD will give them up before your face, that you may do to them all I have commanded
Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will not fail you, or forsake you

Moses told Joshua, Be strong and courageous: for you must go with the people and cause them to inherit the land I swore to them
The LORD goes before you; He will be with you, He will not fail you, or forsake you
Do not fear or be distressed
Moses wrote all the law and said, Read this law before all men, and women, and children, and foreigners that they may hear and fear (revere) the LORD your God, and observe all the words of this law that you may live long in the land

(Our promised land today is:
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart - Psalm 37:4

and Ask what you will that your joy may be full
John 16:24

Whoever overcomes will sit with Me on My throne - ruling the universe with Him - Revelation 3:21

Filled with all the fulness of God - Ephesians 3: 17-19)

The one that overcomes will inherit all things and I will be His God and he will be My son/daughter
Revelation 21:7
The LORD told Moses, Your days are near to die

Call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him orders

And the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud

The pillar of cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle
The LORD said to Moses, You will sleep with your fathers and this people will go whoring after the gods of the foreigners where you go

and will forsake me, and break my covenant I have made with them
Then my anger will burn and I will hide my face from them and allow the evils and troubles they bring on themselves

(by forsaking Me, the Source of life and the fountain of Living Waters)
Now write this song and teach it them for a witness for Me

The Lord said to Joshua, Be strong and courageous: for you will bring the children into the land I swore to them

and I will be with you
Deuteronomy 31

Soaring on His wings

I will tell about the LORD, the greatness of our God
He is the Rock, His work is perfect

All his ways are justice

A God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He

Is He not our father that bought us?

Did He not make us and establish us?

For the LORD'S portion is His people, His inheritance

He found him in a desert, in the wasteland, a howling wilderness

He led him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye

As an eagle stirs up her nest, flutters over her young, lifts them and carries them on her wings
So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no other god with Him
He made him ride on the high places of the earth and eat the increase of the fields

He made him suck honey out of the rock

Then they forsook the God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of their salvation
They provoked Him to jealousy with other gods, with abominations
They sacrificed to devils, not to God

O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

Of the Rock that begat you, you are unmindful, and have forgotten God that formed you

I, even I, am He, and there is no god but me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal

None can deliver out of my hand
I lift up my hand to heaven and say, I live for ever

I will repay vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful to his land, and to his people

Set your hearts to all the words I testify to you today because it is your life: and through this you will prolong your days
Deuteronomy 32

The Lord is the true God, He is the living God, and the everlasting King

At His wrath the earth will tremble, and the nations will not be able to abide His indignation
Jeremiah 10:10

He rides the heavens to help you

Moses, the man of God, blessed the children of Israel before his death

He said, The LORD came from Sinai, He shined forth

He came with myriads of most holy ones

from His right hand went a fiery law for them

Yes, He loved the people
all His saints are in your hand

They sat down at Your feet; every one will receive Your words

He was King

Let Reuben live and not die and be a multitude
Hear LORD, the voice of Judah... help him from his enemies
Of Levi he said, Let your Lights and Perfections (the breastplate that communicated guidance from God) be with your Holy One who kept your covenant
They will teach the people Your judgments and put incense before You
Bless his substance, and accept the work of his hands
Benjamin, The beloved of the LORD will dwell in safety by Him; and the LORD will cover him all the day long, and he will dwell between His shoulders
(hugged to His heart)
Bless Joseph's land with the precious things of heaven, fruits brought forth by the sun
The best of the ancient mountains, and the precious things of the everlasting hills
The good will of Him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and the crown of the head of him that was separated from his brothers
Myriads of Ephraim, and thousands of Manasseh
Rejoice Zebulun, in your going out; and Issachar, in your tents
They will offer sacrifices of righteousness for the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand (diamonds)
Gad is enlarged
He dwells as a lion, and tears the arm with the crown of the head
He executed the justice of the LORD, and His judgments

Of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he will leap from Bashan
And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favor, and full with the blessing of the LORD

You possess the west and the south
And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil
(great oil reserves are found at the foot of the land allotted to Asher)
Your shoes will be iron and brass; and as your days, so will your strength be
There is none like the God of Jeshurun (the upright One), who rides on the heavens for your help, and in His excellency on the sky.
The eternal God is our refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms
You will dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob will be on a land of grain and wine

His heavens will drop down dew
Happy are you, O Israel: who is like you, A people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help, and the sword of your excellency!

Your enemies will be found liars and you will tread on their high places
Deuteronomy 33

(Everything God did for anyone in the scriptures, He will do for you because He is no respecter of persons)
Acts 10:34

Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature
2 Peter 1:4

Face to face

And Moses went up to mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, opposite Jericho

And the LORD showed him all the land to the farthest sea
The LORD said, This is the land I promised to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob saying, I will give it to your seed

I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you will not go over there
Moses the servant of the LORD died

And the Lord buried him in a valley in the land of Moab; and no man knows his burial place
Moses was 120 years old when he died

His eye was not dim and he was still fully strong

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped

Therefore my heart greatly rejoices

and with my song I will praise him
Psalm 28:7
Joshua was full of the Spirit of wisdom for Moses had laid his hands on him

I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, says the Lord
Joel 2:28

The children of Israel listened to Joshua, and did as the LORD commanded Moses

There has been no prophet like Moses since him, whom the LORD knew face to face
And in all the signs and wonders the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt
And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses showed in the sight of all Israel

You are great, O Lord

There is none like You, neither is there any God but You
